Description:
A global EPCI client of Leap29 is searching for a Senior Structural Engineer on a contract basis, specializing in delivering comprehensive solutions for complex offshore and onshore projects across the Oil & Gas sector. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and delivering safe, efficient, and innovative structural solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of projects from concept to completion, applying your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive excellence and exceed client expectations. The correct candidate should have 5 years prior Norwegian and Structural Engineer experience and be able to start as soon as possible. You should be keen for a challenge, interested in large scale projects both greenfield and brownfield / modifications, and be dedicated to meeting deadlines. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the structural design and analysis process for offshore and onshore projects, ensuring compliance with relevant international codes and standards.
Collaborate closely with other stakeholders to develop optimal design solutions that meet project requirements and client objectives.
Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed engineering, and analysis of structures, including platforms, subsea structures, pipelines, and other offshore facilities.
Perform structural calculations, finite element analysis (FEA), and simulations to validate and optimize design solutions, ensuring structural integrity, stability, and safety.
Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and presentations to communicate design concepts, progress, and outcomes effectively.
Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering standards, procedures, and innovative design methodologies to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Remain updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in structural engineering, incorporating relevant knowledge into project work and process improvements.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years' experience in Structural Engineering role.
At least 5 years' experience working in Norway/ Norwegian Continental shelf.
Master's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant field.
English written and spoken.
