We're seeking a dedicated Senior Sourcing & Contracting Manager to join our team and support Operating Room Supply Chain initiatives. In this role, you'll be instrumental in strategic planning for all supplies and purchased services categories used by our enterprise-wide perioperative operations, particularly impacting physician preference supplies and physician effectiveness and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Periop Value Analysis Team (VAT), facilitating critical thinking and strategic planning to engage employees and non-employee physicians in implementing initiatives aimed at cost savings or improved patient care.
Coordinate and manage the procurement process, from identifying opportunities for improved clinical outcomes and cost savings to negotiating contracts with suppliers and overseeing implementation.
Chair discussions with surgeons and physicians on high-cost, physician-sensitive supplies, gathering input on supplier offerings and options to drive cost savings and process improvement.
Develop and document strategies for category management, supplier negotiations, and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
Track and monitor contract rebates, ensuring maximum value for the organization, and manage relationships with suppliers to hold them accountable to contractual obligations.
Support capital equipment procurement, adhering to organizational policies and procedures, and ensuring consistency with the Value Analysis Team (VAT) process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Minimum of ten years of experience in Supply Chain, Value Analysis, or related fields, with at least five years specifically in Perioperative healthcare.
Certification in areas such as CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma, or Project Management preferred.
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct market research and scenario modeling.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
