We also offer systematic alpha and alternative strategies to complement clients' core holdings.This role is a part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 2 -3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.General DescriptionThe Workflow Automation and Management team is working on continuing to build out and maintaining a cloud-based platform designed toenable internal teams across different functions handle a high volume of operational type of work requests efficiently and error-free. Theplatform aims to smoothly transition work between teams and between automated jobs and human handlers through a thoughtfully designeduser experience and flexible backend architecture.We are looking for an experienced engineer who is technically comfortable, motivated to solve problems, loves to learn and experiment, usesdata and empirical evidence to make decisions, and enjoys collaborating with various people from different backgrounds and timezones. You'llbe joining a fast moving 2-pizza-cross-discipline team who works closely with the user base and is very determined to make them happy byproviding an incredible user experience. As a backend engineer, this means making our app reliable, performant and secure.Primary ResponsibilitiesScope, lead, build the backend portion of new user facing features in an evolving early stage product with a growing internal user base.Work closely in a cross discipline team to build full stack user facing features. This will include doing API development, data engineering,and cloud infrastructure development types of projects.Help continue to mature the cloud-based platform that is critical to the day-to-day of the company. Make it increasingly low touch androbust. Work with the support team to handle production issues. Help them help us in our endeavor in keeping the app up and availableall the time.Work with engineers in other project teams to properly integrate with their services and applications in the execution of ETL styleworflows.Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, userexperience, and a sustainable technical foundation. Maintaining quality is important.Teach and mentor both individual contributors and managers to become the next generation of leaders at Parametric. As a seniormember on a new team, you will be looked to for guidance. Help grow our organizational technical knowledgebase.Job RequirementsHave 5+ years of experience shipping high-quality user-facing products and engineering large systems. You will work mostly in Python,Terraform and use tech like AWS DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, AWS Lambdas, AWS ECS, Gitlab, Sentry so exposure to these is a plus. Weare open to skilled engineers with experience in other languages and equivalent tech.Are comfortable working on a new product under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerationsMeasure your success in terms of business impact, not lines of codeInternalize the best ideas from across the organization, humbly setting a vision that others are excited to get behindWork well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels. Our goal to help make work flow between these different functionalgroups.Salary range for the position: $110,000-225,000. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
