By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate.As a CoStarSenior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing financial products that drive CoStar Group's monetization strategy for our largest brands including, CoStar Suite, Apartments.com, LoopNet and Homes.com.This position is located in Richmond, VA and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.RESPONSIBILITIESBuilding customer facing web applications using the latest React, GraphQL and TypeScript frameworks.Build micro services and RESTful APIs C# and .NET CoreDrive and lead software design, developing standards and performing code reviews, that result in robust a code base that is efficient and maintainable.Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be leveraged to strength CoStar's technology platform and develop practices.Develop comprehensive application testing procedures to ensure high quality applications for tens of thousands of users.Leading and mentoring a team of EngineersQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from an accredited, not for profit university or college5+ years' experience working with JavaScript/ React5 years' experience building RESTful APIs with C# .NET CoreWorking knowledge of relational DBs and writing efficient SQL, T-SQLDemonstrated experience in architecting, designing and building large scale distributed, services-oriented systems and web applications in an agile environmentFamiliarity with newer specifications of ECMAScriptProficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.Familiarity with CI/CD deployment processesA desire to never stop learning and a collaborative mindsetPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong communication skills (to both business and technical partners)Experience working with financial systemsPreferred experience using and querying elastic indexesPreferred experience with Kafka topics, producing and consuming messagesData modeling experience from conceptual, logical and physical designsWhat's in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
