Senior Software Engineer Ii (Mobile + Web)

We are looking for a Senior Cross-Platform Engineer to join our team. You will help push forward cross-platform engineering initiatives and growth opportunities on behalf of our mobile and web developers. You will also work as part of a cross-functional pod to find elegant solutions to mental healthcare's many problems. Additionally, you will help guide the growth of other engineers as a senior member.What You'll be Doing:Design and expand the capabilities of our Flutter app and web front end built in React with Redux when neededBecome a leader in documentation and standards; build docs and automations for better Flutter, Web and API (GraphQL) developmentDeliver features by working across our stack such as Push Notifications or multi platform flows. Show initiative in contributing throughout our tech stack when neededBuild thoughtful, high quality UI and components by contributing to our design system/component library in Flutter and potentially ReactExpand on the foundation of a well tested codebase to ensure it remains robust and scalable as our business rapidly growsIdentify areas for growth of and iteration on our application stack and advocate for them via our engineering roadmapCollaborate with and become a role model for the mobile teamHelp us make better architecture decisions throughout our stackWhat success looks like in this role:Maintain operational excellence and low error rates in our mobile code baseExpand and improve testing coverages to critical components to 100%Deliver all assigned projects on time with high quality with nearly zero oversight after onboardingIdentify pain points in process and develop automations or mechanisms to solve themImprove communication and collaboration across and within the team upon every opportunityGet buy in and drive all technical projects to completion in a reasonable, planned time frameSpend several hours per week code reviewing and leaving critical feedback to keep our code high qualitySpend up to several hours per week mentoring junior developers and mid level developers helping them achieve their career goalsRespond to high severity bugs with both urgency and strong communication between teams What we expect from you:8+ years of professional development experienceGood hands on experience with Flutter and other mobile languages and conceptsUnderstanding of mobile vs web concepts and taking advantage of both platforms strengths (Push notification on mobile for example)Comfortable taking on projects in web frontend React & Redux codebaseUnderstanding of good API and GraphQL designBonus points for Ruby on Rails (API development)Bonus points for native mobile (iOS or Android)Strong leadership and mentorship skillsComfortable working on an agile team and curious about learning new thingsEmbraces writing well designed tests that accompanies all codeEnjoys coaching & growing engineers, and participating in pair programmingThe target base salary range for this position is$179,100-$218,550, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
