Position Description

:
Produces high-quality, testable code for products and software applications and efficiently deploys them to Amazon Web Services (AWS). Builds, crafts, and reviews code using Java Stack, Spring Framework, Oracle, RESTful Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and Web Containers. Designs, deploys, and maintains Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, uDeploy, and Kafka. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience

:
Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing systems development and design in a financial services environment.
Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) performing systems development and design in a financial services environment.
Skills and Knowledge

:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) working on a full-stack engineering team -- designing and developing performance optimized solutions (using Oracle database), building middle-tier applications (using Java and Akka), constructing User Interfaces (UIs) (using Angular), building CI/CD processes (using Jenkins, Concourse, u-Deploy, and GIT), building data APIs (using Spring Boot Serverless Architecture), and performing performance tuning of SQL queries and database deployment in a Cloud (AWS) platform.

DE performing systems development and design in a financial services environment, using Oracle, Java, Angular, Kafka, or AKKA; conducting systems analysis and support for financial services trading and positions management applications using LINUX/UNIX, PL/SQL with TOAD, SQL Developer, and SQL Navigator; implementing ETL jobs to load and transform data into database tables; and scheduling jobs using Autosys.

DE executing project scope planning, systems analysis, and implementation -- creating functional specification and efficient technical documents throughout the production life cycle in accordance with business standards; implementing unit tests, using PL/SQL according to Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) practices; automating processes using Jenkins; and developing data quality frameworks for loaders with reporting mechanisms using DataDog.

DE performing full-stack systems analysis and design -- gathering requirements and documents and performing data mining and functional design; and analyzing system dependencies for Angular JS based UIs, Java Web services, and back-end Oracle databases, using SQL queries, PL/SQL blocks, APIs, and automation tools -- Karate.
