Job Summary: The Senior Software Developer position is for a web application developer with both a technical and broad skill set. They will be expected to be a significant contributor to the architecture and design of web applications internally.The Senior Software Developer position requires a highly motivated individual to develop web and/or mobile applications who is eager to learn and broaden their skills, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding application solutions to the business.
Essential Job Functions: Contribute as a senior developer of web-based and, potentially, mobile applications to support EMC business processes. Research and recommend technologies and application frameworks (such as Laravel, Zend Studio, Eclipse for PHP, Zend Framework or CakePHP) for the development team to rapidly build and deploy applications. Work with development team and business stakeholders within EMC to deliver software application projects. Participate in managing development projects utilizing an Agile-based (iterative) approach with development sprints and scrums. Translate and prioritize business requirements into software applications. Document delivered software (both within and outside of the application). Train super users on the delivered applications. Education: 4-year bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
