TITLE : Senior Software Developer
LOCATION : St. Louis, MO JOB SUMMARY: Design, develop, modify, and implement applications and services designed to support Charter's software applications. Support, troubleshoot, and develop buyflows and enterprise-level webservices. Coordinate with vendors and internal support team on problem resolutions, defects, design issues, and upgrades. Code, test, and debug new software and make enhancements to existing software. Write code and perform unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems to improve application performance and functionality. Assist with development and implementation of strategies for migration, consolidation, and upgrade of system components. Lead code review sessions to validate adherence with development standards and provide inputs to development teams. Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements. Design, code, develop, and test software applications utilizing Java and J2EE. Analyze and resolve computer-related problems by coordinating with internal team members to diagnose and fix operational difficulty, as well as consulting, advising, and training on specialized features and functions. Resolve incidents and problems for production applications and web services in accordance with identified service level agreements. Develop and provide support for mobile buyflows, by investigating, researching, and reaching out to backend teams for assistance. Establish frameworks for upcoming projects and initiatives. Recommend efficiencies of various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing, and auditing new software programs. Ensure monitoring and alerting is in place for all critical services, infrastructure, and vendor connections using Splunk, App Dynamics, and Solarwinds. Build and develop Enterprise Web applications in Oriented Java platform utilizing Spring MVC. Perform database operations utilizing Oracle SQL and handle data to generate business analysis reports with stored procedure and functions. Utilize Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to build software applications. Write unit test cases to test software applications utilizing Junit and Mockito.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 2 years of experience in the following: designing, coding, developing, and testing software applications utilizing Java and J2EE; building and developing Enterprise Web applications in Oriented Java platform utilizing Spring MVC; Performing database operations utilizing Oracle SQL and handling data to generate business analysis reports with stored procedure and functions; Utilizing Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to build software applications; Writing unit test cases to test software applications utilizing Junit and Mockito.
