Responsibilities
• Schedule patients for complex services accurately• Synchronize appointment calendars to effectively schedule patients• Communicate and collaborate with departments throughout the facility• Serve as a resource and trainer for less experienced staff• Confirm appointments, relay preparations, and arrange assistance as needed• Update patient demographic and insurance information• Respond to requests, reschedule and cancel appointments• Resolve patient access and quality service matters• Meet scheduling goals• Gather demographic and insurance information
Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent education• Four years of medical setting or call center experience• Two years of medical scheduling experience• Sufficient proficiency in English language• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and co-workers• Ability to multitask and show flexibility• Knowledge of insurance procedures• Ability to problem solve• Mid-level understanding of medical terminology and diagnosis/procedural codes• Excellent customer service and communication skills• Proficient computer skills• Strong training, leadership, and mentoring skills
