Overview & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Property Accountant who will play a vital role in our financial operations. As a key member of our team, you will:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for Senior Housing communities.
- Record journal entries and month-end accruals.
- Review and record monthly credit card activity.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy of resident input information.
- Assist in budget vs actual variance analyses.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and address reconciling items promptly.
- Provide support in accounts payable functions.
- Ensure timely payments of taxes and insurance.
- Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger and reconcile budget vs. actual for capital expenditures.
- Assist with cash management and cash flow projections.
- Collaborate with various departments and Business Office Directors.
- Contribute to the development of operating procedures.
- Undertake special accounting projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of property accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Yardi Voyager software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Deadline-oriented with strong communication abilities.
This is a remote position.
Salary Range:
USD $80,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 per year.
Employment Type: Full-Time
