Senior Property Accountant

Responsibilities:
Lease Accounting:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of ProLease data entry to comply with ASC 842.
- Review and reconcile lease accounting schedules, preparing monthly journal entries in alignment with ASC 842.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for all lease-related accounts.
- Prepare year-end workpapers, schedules, and other audit documentation.
- Serve as a liaison with auditors, addressing inquiries and facilitating walk-throughs.
Construction Accounting:
- Support the Senior Construction Accountant as the primary backup.
- Prepare or review reconciliations for construction-related accounts.
- Manage unsecured/business property taxes and business licenses:
- Develop and maintain a tracking system for timely returns and renewals across all US locations.
- Retrieve necessary information from Sage Intacct and prepare returns and license renewals.
- Handle related accruals and amortizations.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of related balance sheet accounts and prepare year-end audit schedules.
Skills:
We're looking for someone with:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity company.
- Proficiency in US GAAP with experience in ASC 842 administration.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage tax filings for multiple locations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities independently.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in Excel and Sage Intacct.
