ARE YOU READY TO ADVANCE IN YOUR CAREER? Volt is immediately hiring a Senior Project Manager to support a key client, located in New Prague, MN. This will be a fully onsite role during the initial 90-day onboarding period, with the option to go hybrid after that (onsite 3 days per week).
As the Senior Project Manager , you will be responsible for all aspects of a project from contract award to completion, delivering products on time and within budget while maintaining customer satisfaction. Within this role, you will:
Be the main customer and internal interface point for projects. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure that the project deliverables are met. Be responsible for all commercial and administrative requirements during project execution. Monitor/Control project schedule and costs; mitigate variances. Review, understand and interpret customer specifications and contract requirements. Monitor and control project scope. Draft, review and issue Project Change Orders. Communicate project status to customer and internal stake holder. Lead and oversee in-house Design, Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Installation phases. Provide technical guidance and problem resolution. Coordinate material purchasing requirements, develop requisitions, oversee vendor progress. Execute customer invoices and follow-up on overdue invoices. Follow company procedures with regards to process and procedures. Maintain Project Management Tools and Best Practices. Prepare and present management reviews of assigned projects. Mentor junior staff and provide guidance to their professional development. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field. PMI or PMP certification Minimum of 8-10 years applicable project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience managing high-impact projects with multiple stakeholders and business functions. Experience developing and managing project financials (forecasting, cost accruals, reconciliation). Experience managing vendor relations and expectations. Experience in leadership and team building. Management level communication skills. Experience working with Industry Standard Codes (ASME, B31, ASTM, AWS, OSHA) and or international equivalents a plus. Excellent computer skills including MS Office, MS Project, Quickbase, experience with JD Edwards a plus. Ability to travel, up to 10%. Salary: $100,000- $125,000 per year
