Position Summary: As a Senior Project Manager within our Information Technology Department, you'll play a pivotal role in driving IT alignment and overseeing large, complex projects and teams simultaneously. Collaborating closely with internal development teams, resource managers, infrastructure resources, and vendors, you'll deliver innovative solutions and services to clients across diverse, multi-site engagements. Your responsibilities will encompass defining project parameters, developing detailed project documentation, managing project execution according to plan, and proactively addressing any issues that may impact project outcomes. Additionally, you'll serve as a Business Analyst on smaller projects, ensuring clarity and alignment of requirements between the development team and clients.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive project management programs, outlining project details and objectives.
Establish realistic goals and action plans, guiding project team members to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
Ensure availability of financial, material, and human resources necessary for project success.
Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving limitations or faults to enhance efficiency.
Stay abreast of industry trends and adapt project strategies accordingly.
Facilitate internal communication strategies to foster collaboration across organizational departments.
Demonstrate proficiency in project management practices, building and managing high-performing teams.
Participate in educational programs to enhance job knowledge and expand professional network.
Proffer effective solutions to meet project targets and client requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and oversee vendor selection processes.
Manage all aspects of projects, including planning, communication, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
Enforce effective change control processes and manage project scope creep.
Obtain client sign-off for project completion and closure.
Advocate for information security best practices and support IT merger and acquisition integration efforts.
Collaborate with the Security Manager to ensure proper implementation of security requirements.
Work closely with the IT infrastructure group to set up and maintain system infrastructure.
Assist business teams in understanding existing system capabilities and project deliverables.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in IT project management.
PMP certification.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of complex technical issues.
Basic understanding of network management and IT security principles.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
Experience translating between business and technical teams.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to collaborate effectively with business/operations and IT teams.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or a related discipline.
Six Sigma certification.
Experience with DISAWorks system.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
