As a Senior Project Manager/Estimator in our Estimating/Project Management department, you will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and developing cost estimates for minor and major projects, while working closely with Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and our internal operations teams to successfully execute project delivery. You will manage specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence, ensuring above-average attention to detail and a strong commitment to completing tasks on time. This role involves effectively managing relationships with stakeholders and handling the logistics of day-to-day construction, while also developing cost estimates to make informed decisions on the viability of proposed new projects. You will provide competitive estimates that align with organizational goals and objectives, maintaining positive working relations with all team members and ensuring all requirements are met for successful proposal submissions to clients. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Lead a project team; Oversees construction projects with superintendents and foremen to plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction projects. Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities. Reviews construction documents and understands scope of work to bid. Executes take-offs of construction documents. Obtains pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors. Prepares cost analysis utilizing computer platform by calculating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs incurred in the installation of items. Responsible for ensuring revenue and profitability requirements are met by providing detailed and accurate job proposals. Maintain up to date knowledge of material costs, customer trends, and latest product information. Maintain positive working relations with all team members. Must manage the proposal process and ensure all requirements are met for a successful proposal submission to the client. Communicate effectively with the subcontractors responsible for completing various phases of the project. Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, subcontractors, and own forces. Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams. Coordinate/supervise all project submittals. Oversee distribution of project close-out material; facilitate prompt punch list final sign-off, completion and resolution of all contract paperwork for final acceptance by the client. Providing conceptual estimates without much information provided. Provide hard bid lump sum competitive estimates. Technical writing skills to prepare professional construction proposals to clients. Attend pre-bid conferences. Meeting or beating deliverable deadlines.
