Details of the offer

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Environmental Specialist to join our team at our Company, supporting environmental task management, permitting, and field studies. This position will be based out of our Green Bay, Wisconsin office, with fieldwork concentrated in southern Wisconsin. We welcome candidates in proximity to the Madison and Milwaukee metropolitan areas.
Responsibilities:
Lead environmental reviews, permitting, and compliance monitoring, primarily for energy projects in Wisconsin.
Conduct field reviews for wetlands, waterways, and endangered resources, alongside other environmental studies for energy projects.
Collaborate with engineering staff to review and prepare soil erosion and sediment control plans.
Liaise with government agencies, clients, and construction contractors regarding environmental permits, regulations, and compliance.
Conduct site inspections to monitor environmental compliance during project construction and restoration phases.
Prepare high-quality technical reports documenting field observations and analyses.
Assist in preparing permit applications and associated environmental reporting.
Coordinate interdisciplinary work teams and manage environmental project reviews.
Provide regular status and progress reports to clients, project teams, and management.
Mentor and provide direction to junior environmental staff.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements:
MS or BS in environmental-related sciences.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental reviews and permitting, preferably in the consulting industry.
Completion of a 40-hour wetland delineation training course recommended.
Ability to prepare comprehensive reports summarizing field procedures, observations, and results.
Flexible to work in both field and office environments, with occasional travel.
Strong technical writing skills.
Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Current Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to hike moderate distances through various terrains.
Ability to identify potential hazards during fieldwork or site visits.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Earth Science or related field (preferred)
