Job Description and Duties The Governor's Office of Planning & Research (OPR) seeks to fill a  Limited-Term/Full Time Associate Governmental Program Analyst in the Youth Empowerment Commission. Originally created by AB 46 (L. Rivas, 2021), the Youth Empowerment Commission (YEC) was formally established at OPR in 2023 as a statewide advisory body to provide meaningful opportunities for civic engagement to improve the quality of life for California's disconnected and disadvantaged youth and to make meaningful recommendations regarding legislation and state policy.
The Office of Planning and Research is seeking to hire a Senior Program Analyst for the Youth Empowerment Commission (YEC). The Senior Program Analyst is responsible for leading the development and implementation of annual reports, developing best practices, leading, and coordinating efforts to develop and implement youth empowerment initiatives and programs, as directed by the YEC. This position serves as a lead analyst and independently conducts varied complex research activities to support data collection, implementation, and analysis for YEC.

Working Conditions Located in an office setting in downtown Sacramento, directly across from the State Capitol. Various coffee shops and restaurants conveniently located within walking distance. Available street parking and State-owned parking garages nearby for convenience. Telework may be available in accordance with OPR's Telework Policy.
All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
