The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting for auto loan receivables and related balances. Responsibilities include performing account analysis, recording journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and preparing reports needed for internal and external reporting needs.
What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Senior Accountant? Perform several facets of the day-to-day accounting operations relating to receivable accounting, and other general accounting areas Drive continuous business process improvements and strategies, and leverage best practices to improve controllership and financial transaction efficiency over closing processes relating to accuracy, timeliness, productivity, and scalability  Responsible for ensuring accounting policies are followed and internal control foundation is maintained Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and analysis to ensure accurate and complete reporting Leads ad-hoc projects to improve and automate processes related to receivables, with a focus on strengthening internal control structure, process documentation, and tightening close timeline Partner with other departments on analyzing financial results, problem resolution, and strategic business initiatives About you: Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Required: Working knowledge of US GAAP, Preferred: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Preferred: Public accounting experience Preferred: CPA Prior experience in a consumer finance or auto finance company is a plus High level of attention to detail General understanding of general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations Ability to work with sensitive material If you're interested in partnering with a certified Great Place to Work company that encourages you to be your best, visit for a complete list of career opportunities and information on our company.
