We are seeking a talented Network Observation and Automation Engineer to join our team and bring our network monitoring and configuration management to the next level. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining advanced monitoring systems to detect infrastructure and application events, ensuring prompt remediation and minimal downtime. You will also help bring us enhance our fleet management tools for our large footprint of network devices and appliances.This position is located in our Irvine, CA and offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain monitoring systems that facilitate network infrastructure availability, performance monitoring and alertingUtilize various monitoring platforms (ex: Solarwinds, PRTG, Nagios, Cisco ThousandEyes, etc) to ensure comprehensive network observability. Create dashboards utilized by the Ops teamsDevelop scripts utilizing Python or PowerShell to tackle bespoke monitoring tasks and integrate into our monitoring platformsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate monitoring solutions into existing infrastructure and applicationsUtilize configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate deployment and configuration tasksConduct fault analysis to identify root causes of network and application issues and implement fleet-wide corrective measuresManage log aggregation systems, create queries & tools that make it easier for our engineers to troubleshoot issues across the enterpriseBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or collegeA track record of commitment to prior employers3+ years proven experience deploying and enhancing enterprise monitoring tools5+ years scripting with Python or PowerShell3+ years configuration management supporting a large fleet of network devices & appliancesFamiliar with log query languages such as KQLPreferred Qualifications and SkillsYou are writing your own Python or PowerShell scripts, building modules used in business processes and by other team membersFamiliar with SEIM and Log Analytics tools such as Azure Log Analytics, Sentinel, LM LogsExperience with any of Solarwinds, OpManager, Zabbix, Nagios or PRTGExperience managing LogicMonitor and LM LogsExperience Managing Cisco ThousandEyesExperience with one of Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or ChefWhat's in it for YouWhen you join CoStar Group, you'll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.We offer you generous compensation and performance-based incentives.
