Senior Network EngineerPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Senior Network Engineer will provide the leadership and project management required to ensure the successful delivery of network-related technology projects within ASARCO. As the leader of a collaborative team they will engineer, implement and maintain a securely converged IT/OT network environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDesign and implementing a secure and stable network environment for Enterprise information systems (servers, PCs, Wireless), and Operational Technology systems (PLCs, pump systems, flow meters, etc.). Lead a team of field network engineers in their daily tasks. Plan and implement new network changes to the LAN and WAN including routing, switching, and physical infrastructure. Create and maintain network documentation including maps, asset inventory and standards. Ensure adherence to best-practices for network design and security. Approve network change control requests submitted by field engineers and other stakeholders.Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to business needs.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESAbility to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced production focused environment. Ability to identify opportunities in new technologies, trends, and changes in the networking field. Ability to communicate efficiently with stakeholders across all segments of the business. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Robust understanding of OSI and TCP/IP stack.802.11 Wireless Networking (b/g/n/ac/ax). Experience with Cisco Catalyst, ASA, NGFW platforms. Familiarity with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and SDWAN principles. Solid understanding of static routing, OSPF, BGP. Familiarity with link aggregation, tunneling protocols and VPN. Familiarity with Purdue model of network segregation. Proficiency with mapping tools such as:AutoCAD EkaHau MS Visio LucidChart REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE4 years work experience in industrial or enterprise networking required Proven ability to work safely required Industry Standard networking certifications (Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Arista, etc.) preferred Cybersecurity best practices (SANS critical controls, CPWE, NIST standards, etc.) preferred Active Directory and Powershell preferred Virtual storage solutions (VXRail, VMWare, etc.) preferred Python, git and other scripting tools preferred Experience with SAN and WAN configuration required Experience in mining or industrial work environments preferred Experience with industrial networking protocols (profinet, modbus, etc.) preferred A core value of ASARCO LLC is "safety first".
