This is your next opportunity!As a Senior Member of Technical Staff focused on AI workload performance, you will understand the current and future landscape of AI models, measure and analyze the performance of models on state-of-the-art accelerators, and collaborate with peers to influence the architecture of future AI-optimized memory systems. You will be part of a growing team of domain experts across platforms, systems architecture, component architecture, design, and advanced packaging. You will apply your deep knowledge of compute architecture and memory systems to drive optimizations enabled through advanced packaging. We encourage collaboration with technical partners across multiple domains in our effort to build the best memory systems in the world.What you'll be doing:Understand AI model use cases to better research future architectures.Evaluate and explain the performance of AI workloads on innovative accelerators.Analyze the performance and power of future inference and training architectures, from scale-out SRAM-based architectures to capacity optimized GPU architectures.Understand and deploy inference and training scale-out frameworks so as to understand their implications on systems performance and memory systems architecture.Develop architecture models and explore end-to-end systems value propositions.Our Expectations:Strong performance analysis experience.Ability to understand and optimize system and workload performance.Programming experience in a high-level language, like C/C++, Java, Python, etc..Strong background in computer and systems architecture.Experience with PyTorch.What sets you apart:Pathfinding experience with domain-specific architectures (NPUs, GPUs, or other accelerator).Knowledge of high-performance memory systems,Ability to influence decisions through data-driven systems analysis.Detailed knowledge of PyTorch internals is a plus.Experience with architecture performance counters and architecture simulation.Breadth of experience with AI model architectures.A track record of sustained innovation from pathfinding to product.How to QualifyA Masters, PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.5+ years of proven experience.The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$175,000.00 - $384,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
