ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Full Time Senior Medical Assistant to support the Swank Memory Care Center at the Wilmington Hospital.
The Senior Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering and maintaining quality patient care,assisting providers in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments and also operates as a team leader and mentor of office staff in the practice to facilitate functions and duties.
Work Schedule:
Mondays- Fridays: 8am-5pm
No weekends, evenings or holidays.
Responsibilities:
Rooms patients for virtual and on-site within the practice to include taking and recording patient Vitals.
Performs point of care testing, injections, medication administration and EKGs as per practice needs.
Assist clinician with examinations/procedures.
Prepares exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
Completes necessary patient-specific paperwork as per practice needs.
Ensures EMR is up to date with all pertinent test results in preparation for next visit.
Assures adequate coverage within the practice due to staff shortage.
Participate in new hire orientation and other educational initiatives for staff as per directed by supervisor.
Handles patient call backs relaying information per the direction of provider.
Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate or Equivalent
A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or
Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years' experience is preferred.
