Position Information This is an on-site position in Hodges, SC. Domestic relocation is available for this position. Role Definition
Provides technical expertise necessary to design all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for manufacturing.
Responsibilities Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs. Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services. Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs and entering data. Completes design and development projects by training and guiding operations. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Judgment and Decision Making: Working knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance. Manufacturing Equipment: Working knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update, and store them. Manufacturing Processes: Extensive experience using product manufacturing methods, technologies, and processes; ability to execute, plan, manage and monitor the entire manufacturing process. Problem Management Process - MFG: Extensive experience using manufacturing problem management processes, methodologies, and techniques; ability to use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution.
