Title:Senior Machine Learning EngineerLocation:Beaverton, ORDuration:4 month contractNike has been driving to build robust in-house ML models for recommendations and enable training, tuning and serving those ML models in a scalable way. This initiative is to migrate and enhance using relevant technology stack in AWS Sagemaker. The objective of this initiative is to develop right capabilities required for AI / ML pipelines to be migrated to sageMaker from existing legacy stack in databricks and help the current squad migrate faster and maintain ML models in north star sagemaker architectureWHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?Our team has Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers and Data Scientists. You will work day-to-day with your peer software engineers, machine learning engineers, product management and other squad team members to achieve business objectives. You will also engage with other Global Technology functions and teams on organizational and technical goals.WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?Our squad is a multi-functional team responsible for enhancing the customer digital experience.. An integral part in advancing our technical strategy, you will play a key role in delivering on that vision. We work directly with our business partners to explore and prove the plausibility of concepts and potential solutions. A typical day is a mix of hands-on coding, meetings with product managers, and team technical discussions. We work in a 2-week iteration cycle and follow common Scrum ceremonies like sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.Resource day to day responsibilities:Migration to Nike platform solutions (such as AWS Sagemaker) from existing legacy tech stack. Refactoring, tuning, optimizing, containerization, and productionalizing Nike's ML solutions in recommendations domain to Nike platform solutions (such as AWS Sagemaker). Enable ML models testing, validation and automate testing framework.Collaborate across functional teams (including Consumer Data Sciences, MLOps Core, Platform teams) to deliver ML models in production and enable end to end testing.WHAT YOU BRINGBachelor's Degree or higher in Computer science, Software engineering or other similar OR combination of relevant education, experience and training.Advanced degrees a plus (PhD, Masters, etc).5 or more years of experience with hands on coding.Very strong programming skills Experience in Data Science languages like python, Spark, Scala, etc.Experience in distributed platforms that are big data friendly.History of deploying quality code directly into production.Basic Knowledge of AI/ML techniques, ie, neural networks, tree ensembles, regressions, etc. Proven experience with feature engineering.Experience with databases, processing and storage frameworks.Experience with various hyperparameter tuning approaches and various cloud technologies.
