Specifically, we are seeking a Mid-Level Environmental Engineer to support the continued growth of our Midwest Region. As part of our team, you will work on projects related to drinking water, stormwater, wastewater and reuse projects, including but not limited to treatment facilities, planning and feasibility studies, and critical water reuse projects that create sustainable and resilient water supplies for our communities.
Engineering planning and design efforts associated with water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse treatment and conveyance infrastructure, including:
Developing plans and specifications Preparing cost estimates for various projects Completing system modeling Performing permitting and alternative analysis Preparing technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables Completing data entry and analysis Providing engineering services during construction Participating in field activities such as pilot testing Actively participating in in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conferences Design of water and wastewater treatment facilities Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects of small to medium sizes Responsible for budget, schedule and quality standards Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to civil/environmental engineering field Carries out complex assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, material, processes or methods Assists in proposal preparation and interviews and may be included in contract negotiations with clients after selection Develops relationships with existing clients and has responsibility for client maintenance at staff level on existing projects Works closely with subconsultants on projects Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conventions Travel required when requested Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering 10-15 years of wastewater design experience in the field of environmental consulting engineering with an emphasis in hydraulics, physical, chemical, and biological treatment processes and treatment plant design Registration as a Professional Engineer Must have demonstrated experience with managing and designing medium sized projects with full responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations and quality standards Experience designing wastewater treatment plants, including development of conceptual/preliminary designs and detailed design document preparation Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team Deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints Experience working with wastewater collection systems and water and reclaimed water transmission/distribution projects Proficient in MS Word and Excel Masters degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Professional Engineering Licensure Carollo is committed to providing employees with a competitive, comprehensive benefits program that provides the care employees and their families need to lead healthy, productive lives.
