The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Developer w/React to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota or Irving, Texas Responsibilities: Developing new user-facing features using React.js Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use. Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers Developing web applications using React, Redux, GraphQL Required Skill: 7-8 years of relevant experience Proficiency in Java, Javascript, React.js, AWS and its core principles Strong JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 skills Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Redux) Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Tokens Understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
