Are you passionate about creating engaging learning experiences? Join our dynamic team that supports our global Customer Experience organization through onboarding, career progression, and continuous improvement initiatives. We are seeking a highly-skilled and creative Instructional Designer and Technical Writer to help us design effective learning solutions for both our customers and internal teams.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Develop Learning Solutions: Utilize instructional design methodologies to create engaging digital learning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, videos, and supporting documentation.
Design Engaging Activities: Create hands-on and experiential learning activities and assessments.
Collaborate with SMEs: Work with subject matter experts to gather content, review technical information, and simplify complex topics.
Analyze Learning Needs: Conduct needs assessments and audience analysis to identify learning objectives and appropriate strategies.
Maintain Online Courses: Author and update online courses, using real-time training evaluation data to inform ongoing maintenance and design needs.
Align with Company Goals: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training initiatives support company objectives.
Create Customer-Facing Training: Build training materials based on customer needs and feedback.
Utilize E-Learning Tools: Design and create digital courses using tools like Articulate Storyline/Rise, build quizzes and interactivity, test courses prior to release, and refresh existing content.
Build Assessments: Develop assessments to track learner progress and verify job-readiness.
Engage with Learners: Network with facilitators and learners, act on feedback, and track content improvements.
Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Manage training needs across different teams.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in instructional design and digital learning.
Revise Content Proactively: Update content as products and internal processes evolve.
Track Work: Use project management tools like Asana to report on progress.
Advance Organizational Knowledge: Develop plans to enhance the organization's understanding of learning theories, digital learning, and facilitation techniques.
What You Bring to the Role
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of proven experience as an Instructional Designer.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
Technical Writing: Proven ability to simplify complex concepts.
Tool Proficiency: Experience with authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia software like Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite.
Knowledge: Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design concepts.
Organizational Skills: Strong project management abilities, capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Portfolio: Samples of previous instructional design work showcasing a variety of learning solutions and multimedia assets.
Passion: A commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position in the US is $78,000 to $116,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum values for new hire salaries across all US locations and may also include bonuses, benefits, or related incentives. The final offer will be based on your job-related capabilities, experience, and location.
