We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Human Resources Generalist in our distinguished nonprofit organization, recognized for its significant contributions exceeding $100 million and operating with a generous budget of $20 million. Our team, comprising over 110 dedicated professionals, is at the heart of our success, and we're looking for an experienced individual to help us nurture this dynamic and vibrant community. This role offers a blend of remote and in-office work in the bustling city of Washington, DC, and reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.
Who Are You?
You're a seasoned HR professional with a passion for fostering positive work environments and a knack for solving complex issues with empathy and efficiency. You bring a wealth of experience in HR administration and are skilled in cultivating strong relationships across all levels of an organization. Your expertise includes but is not limited to benefits and compensation, employee satisfaction, payroll management, performance management, and a thorough understanding of employment laws. Your positive attitude, excellent judgment, and proactive approach make you a perfect fit for our team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
SHRM or PHR certification is preferred.
Experience with Insperity HR is highly preferred; familiarity with Paychex or Paycore is a plus.
A strong foundation in benefits and compensation, employee satisfaction, payroll, performance management, and employment laws.
A positive attitude paired with outstanding judgment skills.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Enhance workplace relationships, morale, and transparency by working closely with management and employees.
Monitor and elevate the employee experience, focusing on engagement and satisfaction.
Manage payroll and 401(k) transactions, liaise with PEOs & EORs, and assist in the performance management process.
Develop presentations, communicate HR updates, and refine existing procedures.
Serve as the go-to for employee inquiries related to HR benefits administration.
Coordinate and contribute to staff town halls, fostering a sense of community and openness.
Offer guidance and support to both employees and management in need of assistance.
Play a key role in developing and upholding company policies, ensuring employees understand and adhere to these guidelines, including conducting research and synthesizing state policies as necessary.
