Responsibilities
• Direct, review and monitor work performed by materials testing and inspection personnel• Perform geotechnical subsurface evaluations and calculations• Review field and laboratory reports• Review plans and specifications• Prepare and/or review materials testing proposals• Manage projects, ensuring technical excellence, budget, and schedule• Participate in training and mentoring of staff• Conduct annual and interim performance reviews• Assure maintenance of accreditations and certifications• Ensure compliance with accreditation policies• Provide strong verbal and written communication
Requirements
• BS in civil engineering• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and problem solve• Extensive knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards• Experience with AASHTO and ASTM test methods for construction materials• Experience overseeing materials testing and inspections• Thorough understanding of accreditation policies for relevant agencies• Proficiency in MS Office applications• Strong verbal and written communication skills
