Senior Financial Services Representative Job Description:
Summary:
The Senior Financial Services Representative serves as the senior branch customer service associate and usually works closely with the relationship managers, treasury management representative, and their own client relationships. As a front-line customer service representative they are responsible for creating a welcoming environment and good impression for our customers. Key job functions include account and service origination as well as responding to customer inquiries by telephone and in person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures lobby coverage for walk-in clients and incoming phone calls, may assist branch management team in supervising branch activity to assure clients are serviced.
Serves customers in opening new accounts for commercial and consumer clients. Must have extensive knowledge of bank products and treasury services in order to make recommendations for commercial clients.
Contact new clients for onboarding activities and follow up to obtain necessary signatures and documentation.
Process consumer loan applications and closings and NMLS license for consumer real estate loans in applicable markets.
Serves as a team member to accomplish company objectives and lobby and personal goals. Work closely with the Treasury Management Representative and the Relationship Managers to develop stronger client relationships, to provide coaching for lobby associates on sales, and assist the manager in sales reports.
Provide customer service for lobby and phone requests. Research and resolve client problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments. Follow up with the client to assure resolution. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
Actively participate in training programs to maintain and acquire additional job knowledge and skills.
Complies with all department and company policies, procedures, audit guidelines, and regulations.
Assists in opening and closing the branch, following procedures set by corporate security. Awareness of location and operation of surveillance equipment.
Cross selling to deepen relationships with existing clients, prepare annual reviews for existing clients, and participating in proactive partner visits with assigned partner
Could serve back up for the teller line, be able to perform all teller duties including all client transactions, maintaining and balancing a cash drawer. Have knowledge of the ATM, Vault, Coin & Cash and GL Accounts to be balanced daily. Have knowledge of all dual control procedures.

Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
Present professional appearance and demeanor including excellent phone etiquette
Strong work ethic and the ability to make sound decisions. This may include making on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions; weighing customer satisfaction issues with the bank exposure to loss or fraud and the ability to think through and rationalize decisions
Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and works well with others. Demonstrates diversity, flexibility, and commitment.
Represent the bank in a manner that maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities and to complete forms and handle transactions with a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
Self-motivated and goal-oriented. Ability to meet established lobby goals.
Thorough understanding of banking operations, bank products/services, and new business development.
Familiar with a variety of account ownerships, both personal and business, to effectively assist customers' needs in opening accounts and obtaining required documentation.
Familiar with consumer loan applications, products, and process.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business related field or equivalent experience: or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of two years banking experience required
Customer service experience required
Experience working in an environment with individual and team goals preferred
Computer and Software Skills:
Google Suite - Gmail, Google Docs and Sheets
Ability to operate standard office equipment, such as, computer work stations, calculators, and copier
Knowledge of Bankway, Image Now, Salesforce preferred
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Notary License as needed by the branch
