Job Description The Downstream Financial Analyst is responsible for planning, forecasting, and business performance monitoring for the North America downstream platforms (Coffee, Plant Proteins and FFS), including strategic analysis which will provide comprehensive insights on financial performance to key stakeholders. This position will partner with commercial teams and functions to seek out value-added business ideas.
Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Planning and Forecasting:  Coordinate the budget process for the North American downstream platforms including:  Coordinate the timeline and ensure proper communication with all stakeholders across commercial and functional teams Critically analyze and challenge budget assumptions  Prepare effective budget templates and deliverables within deadlines  Coordinate the monthly landing process for the North American downstream platforms including:  Challenge prior budget assumptions and update as needed  Effectively communicate changes to various stakeholders  Prepare effective landing analysis / commentary within deadlines  Coordinate the 5 Year Business Plan process for the North American downstream platforms including,  Serve as a point of contact for the global platforms  Coordinate the preparation of the business plan templates and deliverables within the deadline  Critically analyze and challenge 5-year business plan assumptions  Coordinate Cash flow forecasting  Review and critically challenge assumptions for the North American downstream platforms cash flow forecast  Reporting:  Serve as a stakeholder in various regional reporting deliverables including regional and industrial reviews. Work with commercial and finance teams to enhance the way information is reported to align with both how management views the business and the reporting needs of the finance function  Produce ad hoc reporting for various stakeholders as needed Business Partnering and Analysis:  Work with various platforms in analysis of large CAPEX projects including the tracking of spending, approvals, preparation of analysis and presentations.  Participate in commercial and industrial reviews. Take ownership for coordinating initiatives which come from those reviews  Analyze performance/cost of business activities and develop proposals to improve overall financial performance of the company (and manage projects to ensure implementation)  Perform balance sheet analysis on platform metrics and assist in developing strategies to improve metrics.  Provide any ad-hoc analysis upon request to support business decision making  Qualifications Education/Professional Certifications/Licenses The following is the required qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting The following is the preferred qualification: Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting Business or Finance Certification (CPA, CGMA, CFA, etc) Experience The following is the required qualification:  2-5 years' experience
