Responsibilities
• Prepares and oversees financial and operational analysis activities• Coordinates, prepares, and analyzes complex financial and operational reports• Performs advanced analysis of historical and projected financial and operational data• Identify and utilize technology and best practices for continuous process improvement• Performs quality assurance functions of financial data• Serves as a mentor to other Financial Analysts• Remains current with industry trends and analytical techniques• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure• Develops productive relationships with UTMB personnel• Performs related duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent• Four years related experience in a financial or related field• Seven years relevant work experience preferred• CPA and/or Masters' Degree in Business or related field preferred• Experience in Health Systems and Academic Medicine desirable• Advanced knowledge of financial statements and relationships• Progressive development of data analysis skills• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills• Strong organizational and planning skills• Ability to accomplish goals• Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism
