Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life forall.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As Field Applications Engineer at Micron, you will be part of high integrity outstanding customer engineering team responsible for strengthening technical partnerships, encouraging Micron and our customers to deliver the best possible products improving revenue.If you want a career that offers personal happiness, global communities, and the opportunity for advancement, it's time to apply for this role!Role and Responsibilities:Work closely with Sales to develop and implement a strategic plan and supervise progress to key objectives.Regularly visit customers to identify new business, discuss ongoing projects including areas of concern & future needsAssist in solving problems and providing test support; be the central point of contact during critical issues between customer and factory teams, work with multi-functional groups until issue resolution has been delivered to the customer.Act as an advisor to our customers by providing memory architecture advice, memory product recommendations, delivering technical trainings and developing solutions.Work with marketing and development teams to evaluate feasibility of specific new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.Coordinate lab-related activities that support the design-in/validation process, including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation and system level testing.Work to attain design wins and qualifications of Micron DRAM and other Compute focused products in customer applications.Solve customers' systems configuration and setup challenges.Work with customers to determine the best storage/memory footprint and best system configuration for the specific target application.Identify and communicate customer focused collateral (e.g., product guides, cross references, advertisements, etc.).Work with customers to handle and solve issues during qualification, manufacturing, and field deployment.Provide Training to Customers, Sales, and internal team members on key technical topics.Qualification and Education:Bachelors or master's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.5 years of experience in storage (HDD and/or SSD) and/or memory field applications, solutions architecture, product design/engineering, product, test, system validation, and/or product applications engineering.Systems experience, including Datacenter/Compute architecture, systems design, test and troubleshooting.Hands on system integration experience with Storage products including HDD and/or SSD, memory/DRAM, interface technologies (SATA, NVME, CXL), perforce benchmarks (FIO, IOMETER,..) and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, kvm, esxi)Exposure to other semiconductor technologies.Ability to engage customers in all levels of their organization, build relationships and negotiate solutions to sophisticated technical and business challenges.Demonstrated technical curiosity with proven ability to trouble shoot and innovate.Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skills.Ability to travel for up to 25% of time.The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$172,000.00 - $293,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
