The Senior Director of Alumni Advancemenbt and Engagement will be a part of the Advancement Department and will report to the VP of Advancement and be responsible for designing and executing an alumni strategic engagement plan that will result in annual philanthropic funds that will support CUKC and the students serve. Additionally, this position will deliver cultivation and stewardship opportunities and events that grow philanthropic revenue while providing opportunities for alumni and friends to be involved in volunteer experiences with CUKC. 75% advancement focus and 25% stewardship and cultivation focus on events/programs.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES: The Senior Director of Alumni Advancement and Engagement will be a part of the Advancement Department and responsible for the following:
Work with VP of Advancement on a portfolio of securing private support from alumni and friendsDevelop a collaborative advancement and alumni engagement strategy that activates a gift solicitation program with alumni, friends, faculty and staffRegularly set cultivation and solicitation visitsDesign and implement cultivation/stewardship programs/events to encourage alumni engagement growth through local, regional and national associations and conferences as well as on campus and virtual participation to strengthen- volunteerism, communication, giving and experiencesDevelop a planned giving programReview and deliver giving societiesSupervise Donor and Alumni Relations Coordinator positionCoordination, communication and relationship building across various CUKC departments related to alumni relations and donor cultivation and stewardshipWork with the Project Coordinator for Donor Relations to ensure alumni records are accurate and maintained as well as working with the CUKC Business Department tracking gifts and pledgesManages the execution, strategy and coordination of alumni events including CUKC Alumni Advisory CouncilTravels to local/state and national association and conferences representing CUKC as well as hosting events for stewardship and cultivation building with alumni and friendsProvide insight and advice based on professional knowledge and experiencesWork with CUKC MARCOM in designing and executing collateral materials to support alumni engagement strategyTeam player with the VP of Advancement and Advancement Department in the design and execution of fundraising initiativesWork with CUKC Departments in providing the stewardship and cultivation pieces to the annual scholarship banquet (e.g. donor communications, testimonial video)Stay current with industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in alumni engagement and advancement collaborations that support CUKC's effortsProvide the strategy and leadership to the CUKC Alumni Advisory Council with the support from the Donor and Alumni Relations CoordinatorTrack and report data of fundraising efforts and alumni engagementResponsible for department budgets and submitting and approving invoices MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four (4) years of related experience in working in alumni , foundation, or student services or marketing and communications departments in higher education Three years of successful fundraising and event experienceCompetency in Microsoft Office Suite PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Five(5) or more years of related experience in working in alumni , foundation, or student services departments in higher education Four (4) plus years of successful fundraising experienceBachelor degreeBlackbaud Raiser's Edge user Equal Opportunity Employer
