Description Senior Developer
Developer Senior possesses experience as an application programmer on large-scale efforts, knowledge of computer environments, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives. Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications and is responsible for activities such as program design, coding, testing, debugging cyber, devops, automation, or documentation. This individual has technical knowledge and responsibility of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Understands the business or function for which the application is designed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and communication linksWrite programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientistsUpdate, repair, modify and expand existing computer programsProvides technical direction to programmers, as required, to ensure that the program deadlines are metDetermine the Definition of Ready for work items to be slotted into a SprintDeliver working software or acceptable deliverables in every iterationHelp the Product Owner break larger work items (Epics, User Stories) into smaller User Stories based on functionalityEstimate Product Backlog items (Epics, User Stories)Decompose User Stories into smaller, actionable tasksEstimate Tasks during Sprint PlanningCommit to Sprint delivery based on the Definition of DoneAdhere to the Definition of DoneReport daily status and impediments during Daily Stand-upEscalate impedimentsFrequent (daily) communication with and demonstration of progress to the Product OwnerMaintain all boards (Scrum)Maintain project management tool (JIRA)Required Qualifications:
Must be USA CitizenMust Have and Active Secret ClearanceMust have an Active IAT 8570 Lvl III certification such as: CISSP, CCNA, CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CND, CSSLP, CYSA+, GSLC, SSCP, etc.Ten (10) years of progressive overall developer experience and education.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Administer databases through full application life cycle, development, testing, and production.Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of database tuning: software configuration, memory usage, data access, data manipulation, SQL, and physical storage.Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly.Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member.Strong verbal, written, organizational and documentation skills.Experience with FlexDeploy.
Familiarity with Apex Administration work. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous DoD experienceExperience working in an Azure GovCloud environmentWindows Server AdministrationWorking in a virtualized environmentBackground in Jenkins, Ansible, Bitbucket a plus.
