Job Duties and Responsibilities As the Senior Demand Planner , you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain by forecasting customer demand and aligning it with production and inventory strategies. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Collaborating with sales, marketing, and other teams to gather precise demand forecasts, considering market trends, seasonality, and other influencing factors Applying advanced statistical models and data analysis techniques to generate demand forecasts that drive inventory and production planning Applying statistical models to identify changes in demand due to factors such as pricing, promotional activities, and competitor moves Segmenting products according to their demand variability and forecast predictability. Suggest forecasting methods based on product demand segmentation Ensuring synchronization of inventory levels with projected demand, optimizing carrying costs, service levels, and production schedules Coordinating closely with supply planning, procurement, and cross-functional teams to harmonize demand and supply activities Leading unconstrained and constrained forecasting: gauging potential market demand and adjusting for real-world limitations like production capacity and supply chain constraints, using data analytics and historical sales trends Collaborating cross functionally with other functions (marketing, finance, supply planning) to reach an agreement on a consensus forecast Identifying and addressing demand variations, implementing strategies to mitigate uncertainties, and minimizing shortages and excesses Working alongside product development/portfolio teams to create accurate demand forecasts for new product launches and product end-of-life Conducting regular demand review meetings with stakeholders to discuss forecast accuracy, bias, trends, and necessary adjustments Analyzing demand plans against inventory levels, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items, and proposing corrective measures Generating insightful demand-related reports, providing valuable inputs for informed decision-making Identifying avenues for process improvements, enhancing data accuracy, and optimizing demand planning methodologies Continuously refining forecasting methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and alignment with actual demand Ensuring the reliability and accuracy of demand planning tools, setting standards for system parameters, settings, and data maintenance Performing in-depth "What-If" demand planning analysis to gauge potential effects on sales, subscribers, supportability, and overall business profitability due to shifts in demand drivers Diagnosing sales gaps, identifying root causes, and implementing actionable recommendations Fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment that promotes commitment, skill growth, professional advancement, and continuous improvement Skills, Experience and Requirements To excel as a Demand Planner, the following attributes are vital:
A Bachelor's degree from a reputable four-year college or university is preferred, coupled with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered Proficiency in statistical analysis and demand forecasting techniques, using tools like Excel, statistical softwares, and demand planning systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work with complex data sets Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders Attention to detail and an aptitude for accuracy in forecast generation Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management, and production planning Experience with demand planning software and ERP systems APICS CPIM or other relevant certifications are beneficial Effective communication skills, allowing seamless interaction across all echelons of the organization A resolute commitment to the DISH way, exemplified by the core values of Curiosity, Pride, Adventure, and Winning The ability to thrive and deliver results within a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment An ability to be located in Denver, as an in-office presence is mandatory to foster collaboration and engagement Desired skills / experience:
Experience in the wireless industry, underlining your understanding of its intricacies and market dynamics Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies Proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting processes Preferred skills of a Data Scientist, including proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) and machine learning techniques Salary Ranges
Compensation: $72,350.00/Year - $103,400.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
