This role will be responsible for identification, development and implementation of data-driven tools and processes. Also this position will continuously improves the overall organizations capability to satisfy customers in a sustainable way acting as a data subject-matter expert, diving deep to identify business insights and opportunities, defining and executing operational strategies, designing simulations, models, proofs of concept and experiments, automating processes, and collaborating with key partners within the organization.

Assemble data sets from disparate sources and analyze using appropriate quantitative methodologies, computational frameworks and systems. Reframe business with an automation focus to deliver actionable insights, accurate predictions, effective optimization, and automation. Turn models into data products, collaborate with partners and data customers, and integrate into processes throughout Quartz. Optimize models to improve sensitivity/specificity for observed data. Present findings at internal meetings, disseminating findings to non-technical audiences and leadership teams to influence strategy through a variety of media, including interactive visualizations, reports and presentations. Execute Fit-for-Purpose solutions which include opportunities, efficiencies and improvements for internal partners and customers of Quartz employing a multi-channel approach to drive innovation while minimizing disruption to existing processes and ensure effective collaboration with process owners/teams. Assist in developing algorithms and predictive models and creating prototype systems, visualizations, and simulations. Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline. 6+ years of experience in data modeling, predictive modeling (classification, regression, parameter tuning, optimization criteria, feature selection). Experience in model testing and continuous monitoring of model performance. Experience working with large relational data sets. Advanced proficiency and demonstrated skill with query tools (SQL, Aginity, MedInsight, BusinessObjects, Impact Intelligence, etc.). Advanced proficiency and demonstrated skill with Excel. Advanced knowledge of healthcare claims payment systems. Advanced knowledge of industry standard reimbursement methodologies (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid). Advanced knowledge of health insurance market rules and regulations. Ability to be inquisitive and creative in developing analytical tools and presentation formats. Advanced knowledge of computers and analytical software. This full-time position will have the option to work in-person at our Madison, WI or Onalaska, WI office in a hybrid capacity or as a telecommuter. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
