Job Description: The Senior Data Engineer (multiple positions open) at Molson Coors Beverage Company USA LLC in Milwaukee, WI will maintain and implement standards for data integration and drive solutions for projects and uses cases. Identify opportunities for improvement or use of new technologies and collaborate with functional business leaders to define solutions to address business needs and oversee solution implementation by internal and third-party resources. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-design infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources like Teradata, Salesforce and other disparate SQL sources to ADLS Gen 2 'big data' technologies. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics. Maintain separate and secure data across different environments like DEV, QA & PROD. Create tools for analytics and data science teams to build and optimize their use case; and improve functionality for systems. Apply SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), varied data sources, and unstructured datasets & file systems like ADLS Gen2, architectures and data sets on AZURE or AWS or GCP. Perform root cause analysis on internal & external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement. Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management; manipulate, process, and extract value from large, disconnected datasets. Utilize message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores. Work with stakeholders including the Executives, Product, Data, and Design teams to address data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure system needs. May telecommute up to 2 days per week.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years in a professional data engineering occupation, or related occupation. Must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: (1) utilizing ETL tools, including Informatica IICS, Informatica DEI/BDM, and Business Objects Data Services (BODS); (2) object-oriented or object function scripting languages, including Python, Java, C++, and Scala; (3) big data tools, including Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka; (4) relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, ADLS, and Postgres; (5) data pipeline and workflow management tools, including Airflow, Azkaban, or Luigi; and (6) stream-processing systems, including Spark-Streaming or STORM.
