Senior Cost Accountant

Description

The Senior Cost Accountant works with minimal supervision providing support to the Accounting Department and Manufacturing Operations/Logistics. Independently completing general accounting duties including month-end close, preparing journal entries, setting standard costs, balance sheet reconciliations and inventory analysis.

Responsibilities

* Set item standard costs for purchased and manufactured goods.* Responsible for supporting an accurate and timely close process as it pertains to the cost accounting function.* Independently perform analyses, prepare journal entries, perform monthly inventory reconciliations, and assist with gross margin analytics.* Prepare month-end reporting inventory and direct labor for the management team.* Monitor, support, and report on trunk stock and cycle count activities to ensure accuracy and SOX compliance.* Assist with external audits for quarterly reviews and annual audits for COGS related requests.*
