Responsibilities:
Assess and manage multiple commercial line coverage submissions from producers. Utilize various criteria such as location, hazards, inspection reports, and underwriting guidelines to evaluate risks. Ensure compliance with underwriting rules, guidelines, and company philosophy throughout the process. Review inspection reports and claims, recommending risk improvements as necessary. Correspond with external stakeholders to develop procedures and evaluate risks. Build and maintain relationships with agents, producers, and other insurance professionals. Train agency staff on company products, services, processes, and underwriting philosophy. Provide mentorship and technical support to other underwriters. Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Minimum three years of commercial insurance experience, including underwriting policies and procedures. Skills: Strong understanding of commercial insurance contracts, insurance laws, and underwriting principles. Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting commercial inspections.
