Description
Foresite Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-starting
Senior Civil Engineer
to join our Cincinnati, OH office. This 'Doer-Seller' position will focus on managing both teams and clients as well as producing site civil construction documents for land development projects. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
People:
Provide effective leadership, determine and manage client expectations
Manage resources, and establish control to ensure high likelihood of achieving high-quality results
Ensure continuing professional development of staff
Ensure administrative functions are properly performed by staff
Ensure timely and accurate completion of employee performance evaluations
Recommend staff for supervisor status and request training
Align staff with appropriate supervisors and teams
Assist with the resolution of staff conflicts and/or disciplining of staff
Client Service:
Manage projects and use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce site civil construction documents for land development projects
Ensure services are responsive, appropriate, and cost effective for clients' needs
Work with other Practice Areas to promote efficient work sharing between divisions and offices
Risk Management:
Ensure project management processes are in place and are functioning
Comply with contract review processes
Adhere to QA/QC procedures and suggest improvements when appropriate
Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are carried out within the division
Financial:
Accurately complete resource forecasting and weekly schedules
Assist practice area leadership with recommending goals and objectives for the division
Identify actions and resource needs to meet established goals
Ensure division project invoicing and collections procedures are being implemented and are functioning
Business Development:
Assist with BD efforts for division by selling work, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong client relationships
Work with other Practice Areas to cross sell services
Responsible for division revenue growth
Position Requirements
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Qualifications : Professional Engineering License; Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience; Strong business development and client relationship skills; Drainage analysis skills, including hydraulics and hydrology; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
