MSTS is seeking a Senior Business Specialist to support the Light Fleet & Fuel Department in the Fleet & Critical Site Infrastructure Division at the Nevada National Security Site in Mercury, NV. 
Key Responsibilities Perform various complex administrative, clerical, and/or operations support duties and responsibilities with broad scope in Light Fleet & Fuel. Interface with outside agencies and vendors in support of Light Flee & Fuel. Review incoming communications, work orders, and service requests for subject matter content and routes them to appropriate supervisor's attention. Compose routine correspondence in response to requests for department services; answers inquiries from other departments, area offices, or outside entities. Monitor all follow-up actions required by supervisor/manager. Organize material for meetings, presentations, and training May operate a variety of audiovisual equipment in the presentation of programs, orientation, and conferences. May manage records management Maintains files of various historical data. Compile, analyze, and prepare or help prepare information for studies or reports, pertaining to Light Fleet & Fuel. Perform special assignments as requested. Prepare Weekly Security Reports. Assist with maintaining NNSS motor pool. Research problems/discrepancies in documents and systems (including iCon, Maximo, Fleet Commander and other databases). Track and maintain all GSA vehicle accidents and keep all records including police reports. Make reservations for High Profile Security Tours needing vehicles. Scan documents such as in-town invoices into Maximo. Enter all data necessary for new vehicles into Fleet Commander and Maximo. Send the Badge Office completed Visitor Request Forms for deliveries and pickups from outside companies. Request monthly mileage from all vehicle coordinators. Excess vehicles out of Fleet Commander and Maximo. Revise and edit (if necessary) documents for the Fleet Services Superintendent. Creating Excel spreadsheets of vehicle recalls. Answer phone calls and answering customer questions appropriately. Create Pahrump and RTC parking permits for individuals needing to park their government vehicle overnight. Keep all Radiological forms in correct folder for documentation. Create Vehicle Rental Contracts for new vehicles going to assigned clients. Create folders for all GSA vehicle police reports. Assisting customers and making sure they are filling out appropriate forms when needing service done to their vehicles. Making sure all government vehicles have a telematics assigned to them. Input timesheets into PeopleSoft for all craft employees in Light Fleet and occasionally other areas within the division. May be required to become a requisition preparer. Create work orders for in-town services. From the receipts sent to from Coordinators. May implement records management program and maintain files of various historical data. May serve as an emergency action team member as job dictates.  Perform other duties assigned by Management.  High School diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 years of related experience. Must possess planning/organizing skills and initiative; able to employ independent judgment; and apply knowledge and experience to ensure that requirements are completed efficiently, on time, and are cost effective. Must possess interpersonal communication skills of an influencing and motivating nature to interface effectively with all contacts in a professional and efficient manner. Able to understand complex data, terminology, procedures, and regulations. Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment. Able to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments. Able to apply knowledge and experience in interpreting data and performing work where established procedures may not be specific, using some creativity and initiative. Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines. Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and review the work of others in a positive, efficient manner, if required. Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada). Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver's license. MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Reference DOE Order 472.2 , "Personnel Security". If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.
Department of Energy L Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Reviews and tests for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR Part 707.4 , "Workplace Substance Abuse Programs at DOE Sites," will be conducted. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation, required to participate in subsequent reinvestigations, and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Successful completion of a counterintelligence evaluation, which may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination, may also be required. Reference 10 CFR Part 709 , "Counterintelligence Evaluation Program."

Hourly range for this position is $26.83 - $40.25. Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
