Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct moderate to complex audit and consulting activities to assess the effectiveness of company policies and risk management activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, organize, and execute audit projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop project scopes, test procedures, and timelines for audits, adjusting plans as necessary to address emerging risks.
- Monitor project progress, adhere to established timelines, and communicate results to management.
- Uphold internal audit standards, interpret testing results, and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Document audit findings and communicate results effectively to stakeholders.
- Assist in departmental projects and participate in professional development activities.
- Stay informed about developments in internal auditing and relevant industries.
Job Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance (other degrees considered with relevant experience).
- Minimum of five years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of internal control concepts and their application.
- Certification in internal auditing, public accounting, or relevant industry designation (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA, etc.), or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in project management, organization, and time management.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in ambiguous situations.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time remote position.
- Flexible work arrangements are available for candidates in the Minneapolis, MN or Appleton, WI area.
