If so, I have the perfect job for you! Liberty Personnel is working with a rapidly growing firm based in the Nashville area who is looking to hire a Senior Auditor! The Audit Senior will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day "in-charge" duties of planning, fieldwork and "wrap-up" to include the preparing of financial statements with disclosures, applying most areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. This position is also responsible for acting as the client contact for basic questions and information.
We are seeking an experienced professional with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written. The ideal candidate will have strong people development and delegation skills, along with an executive presence to serve as the primary client contact. You will manage all stages of the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, and handle complex company audits. Additionally, you will prepare and review financial statements with GAAP disclosures.
Responsibilities:
Control Environment: Understand and enhance the effectiveness of policies and procedures, or mitigate risks associated with them.
Audit Management: Oversee the day-to-day conduct of audit work, ensuring fieldwork is executed according to the plan, timetable, firm policies, procedures, and budget.
Transactional Flow: Apply knowledge of transactional flows and key cycles to complete audit tasks.
Internal Control System: Document, validate, and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
Client Improvements: Identify and communicate improvements to client internal controls and accounting procedures.
Supervision: Supervise audit staff, review work papers and conclusions, and provide feedback on any shortcomings.
Required Experience:
Bachelors or master's degree in accounting or equivalent
2+ years of prior work experience in a progressive accounting setting
Prior supervisory experience
CPA preferred, but not required
