At Yamamoto, the Senior Art Director plays a pivotal role in the creative development and execution of visual concepts across various media channels. This individual is responsible for leading and inspiring a team of artists, graphic designers, and other creative professionals to deliver compelling and visually stunning projects. The Art Director collaborates closely with clients, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that the creative vision aligns with the overall brand strategy.
Develop and communicate a clear creative vision for projects, campaigns, and brand initiatives. Lead brainstorming sessions and guide the creative team in generating innovative ideas and concepts. Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and foster a collaborative work environment. Oversee the entire creative process, from concept development to final execution, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with project managers, producers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Direct the creation of visual assets, including graphics, illustrations, and other design elements, ensuring they align with the brand identity and messaging. Stay current with design trends and industry best practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas to the creative team. Collaborate with clients and marketing teams to understand their goals, preferences, and target audience. Present and articulate creative concepts to clients, addressing feedback and incorporating changes as needed. Ensure that all visual elements maintain consistency with the brand guidelines and effectively communicate the brand message. Collaborate with other departments to integrate visual elements into a cohesive brand experience. Stay updated on the latest design software and tools, leveraging them to enhance the efficiency and quality of creative outputs. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. 7+ years of proven experience as an Art Director or in a similar senior-level creative role. Extensive experience in leading creative teams and managing complex design projects. Expertise in design software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite. Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and brand development. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Strategic thinking and the ability to align design decisions with business goals. Yamamoto offers the flexibility of a hybrid working schedule to all our employees. All employees will be expected to follow a 50/50 (20 hours weekly in office) hybrid working policy.
