Senior Application Engineer

Mission:
Working within the R&D department, the FERSA North America GM, and the Corporate R&D Director, the Senior Application Engineer will lead the development of solutions and technical support for T1 and OEM customers in the commercial vehicle sector.

Key Roles and Functions:
Understand customer applications, mainly axle, transmission and wheel end for both ICE and BE vehicles
Identify customer pain points that could be addressed from a bearing point of view
Interact in a regular basis with the customer engineering and technical teams
Manage a technical product dossier including design, calculations, prototyping and testing
Contribute and participate actively with the other of R&D teams to develop the proper customer solutions
Plan and validate actions to improve the competitiveness of the product

Qualifications and Experience:
Technical background
Comprehensive understanding of engineering mechanics
+5 years experience minimum with mechanical or mechatronic systems
Knowledge on CAD software is advantageous
Good computer skills at user level (MS-Office, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Open, sociable and team-oriented, resilient, accustomed to precise work
High level of autonomy and learning skills
