We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with expertise in HL7/FHIR Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and implementing data solutions for our enterprise. Collaborating closely with business, analytics, and IT stakeholders, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining these solutions, ensuring smooth data access for both operational and analytical purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various teams across the enterprise to design, construct, and maintain robust data solutions across different environments, including traditional data warehouses, Big Data solutions, and cloud platforms.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow, alignment, and subject matter expertise, supporting operational and analytical platforms.
Develop and maintain scalable frameworks to support data engineering services, adhering to security, data governance, and data quality standards.
Implement machine learning and AI engineering processes in cloud or big data environments, fostering efficiency and innovation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, managing relationships with stakeholders, and attending meetings as required.
Establish and maintain standards for high-performance data ingestion, transformation, and delivery, staying abreast of the latest Big Data technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
5 years of experience as a developer, with 3 years of expertise in HL7 standards like HL7v2 and HL7v3.
Strong knowledge of FHIR Profile, implementation guide, and FHIR Architecture.
Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
Exposure to at least one FHIR based Clinical Data Repository.
Proficiency with common data engineering tools including Spark, Python, and shell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
3 years of experience in the Healthcare Industry, Data Warehousing, and Database Administration.
