Role Summary The Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting is responsible for performing the established daily and monthly accounting procedures of EQ's corporate entities. Responsibilities include the accurate and timely reporting of corporate level financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Company's policies. The Corporate Accountant will assist in analyzing monthly/quarterly closing actuals and preparing forecasts and budget in close collaboration with the department's heads. This role requires 5 days in the office at our Santa Monica, CA location.
Essential Job Functions
Financial Reporting Assist the Corporate team in preparing and analyzing monthly financial reporting packages including balance sheet, income statement, supporting schedules and other reports as needed Prepare departmental G&A reporting, ensuring compliance with the corporate budget and highlighting variances to plan as needed Prepare quarterly and annual internal compliance reports Budgeting and Forecasting Participate in the annual budget process and periodic current year reforecasting Accounting and Bookkeeping Maintain corporate general ledgers, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled Assist with the month-end close procedures, including but not limited to: creating and posting journal entries, bank reconciliations, GL account reconciliations, preparing monthly corporate expense accruals and reclasses, and other month-end procedures as needed Review accounts payable/receivable for accuracy, including account coding and cash application Assist the Corporate team with preparing and/or reviewing all revenue transactions as part of the monthly closing process and ensuring compliance with asset specific management agreements Consult with internal staff to maintain consistent general ledger coding for accounts payable Ensure intercompany expense allocations are booked correctly between each entity and reimbursed timely; examples include pass through reimbursable expenses and payroll allocations Cashflow Management Assist the Director of Corporate Accounting with accounts receivable management and collection efforts Team Collaboration Ensure timely response from various departments in relation to any corporate accounting questions or issues System and Process Improvement Continuously assess and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Streamline workflows to enhance efficacy and accuracy in financial reporting. Ad-hoc Projects Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed, which includes financial analysis and accounting research

Qualifications Degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required 4+ years of progressive professional experience, CPA and REIT knowledge is a plus Experience in corporate accounting, preferably with experience in commercial office real estate Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with property management software and financial systems; Yardi experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, Sumifs, Lookups, Index/Match, Regular Pivot Table, etc.), experience in PowerPoint is a plus Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; interaction with personnel at all levels will be required Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting critical deadlines Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Intelligence with strong problem-solving and analytical skills -
Base Salary Range: $110,000-$125,000. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
