Finance plays a central role in our success by creating transparency of the company's performance, financials, risks, and internal controls, and building the people, process, and product needed for the future of Flexport.We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accounting and Reporting Analyst with a mission to recommend and drive new initiatives and support our fast-growing organization. As a Senior Accounting and Reporting Analyst, you will have the opportunity to build personalized relationships with key stakeholders across multiple functional departments within our dynamic finance organization. Your innovative ideas and results-oriented approach will be essential to our continued success, and you will play a critical role in driving improvement and innovation as we grow.You willKey contributor in the monthly close processes for revenue and cost of sales by preparing journal entries and reconciliationsCreate insightful monthly managerial reports and conduct analytical reviews that inform strategic decision-making across the organizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify revenue opportunities for specific products or service lines, and develop innovative ideas to improve accuracy and efficiencyUpdate and maintain the company's revenue recognition policy, ensuring compliance with evolving business processes and accounting standardsHelp implement process improvements that streamline month-end closing and reporting processes, maximizing efficiency and accuracyContribute to the development and implementation of tools, systems, and processes that ensure accurate revenue recognition and facilitate business growthAct as a trusted liaison with external auditors, proactively resolving issues and ensuring compliancePrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders such as the 10KPrepare financial statement disclosures, including the disclosure checklists for our annual reportingDocumentation and maintenance of accounting procedures in accordance with US GAAPReview and opine on current and upcoming accounting pronouncements as it relates to the company's financial statementsYou should haveA Bachelor's degree or above in AccountingCPA required3+ years of working experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4) and/or in an accounting functionStrong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulationsHigh attention to detail and problem-solving ability with a keen focus on continuous improvementPrioritization skills and the ability to execute on deliverables in a fast-paced and results-oriented environmentA willingness to embrace and drive changesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWorried about not having any freight forwarding experience?Don't be!
