Senior Accountant With Tax Emphasis

Job description A complete advising business in a desirable coastal region that combines CPA, Tax, and Wealth Management services requires a Senior Accountant to provide accounting and tax services to our expanding organization. The ideal applicant will have great time management and analytical skills, as well as attention to detail and effective communication skills.


We're not your normal public accounting business! We provide several services to our clients year-round and only accept clients that suit our multi-service strategy. The busy season is from February to April, with some (6-10 hours a week) overtime required.
Primary Responsibilities Prepare, arrange, and assemble data for the production of yearly income tax returns for both businesses and individuals. Support the timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closure, including revising journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and general maintenance of all operational management accounts. Review of financial statements prepared by staff accountants and bookkeepers. Maintaining solid client connections via regular engagement. Having a thorough understanding of tax law and statutory rules Assist with tax research as required to support a stance. Education and Experience Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred 3+ years of tax experience preferred CPA, EA or aspiring CPA, EA preferred QuickBooks and tax software (Lacerte, Ultra Tax, CCH) experience preferred 3+ years accounting experience preferred Job Type : Full-time, Monday-Friday
