Senior Accountant-Transportation Industry

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT-TRANSPORTATION/LOGISTICS INDUSTRYMUST HAVE ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE IN THE TRANSPORTATION/TRUCKING/LOGISTICS INDUSTRYWe are seeking a senior Accountant to join the Finance team! The Accountant supports the group's subsidiary accounting initiatives through timely and accurate account analysis, adjustments and analytical input. Along with monthly close activities, the Accountant will assist with reporting and analysis and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing functions.Key Responsibilities:Monthly Financial Close, including preparing journal entries, Fixed Asset recording and tracking, review intercompany activity, Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts, as assigned.Financial Statement preparation and variance analysis, including planning and budgeting, forecasting and cost benefit analysis. Report preparation and business transaction tracking and analysis.Problem solve and assist with A/P query and invoice approvals, calls from vendors or in-house employees requesting information on payment status.
